Collection: Akira Shoji

Based in Kyoto, Akira Shoji creates finely crafted wooden tableware and household objects inspired by traditional Japanese woodworking.

Trained in the art of sashimono, a joinery technique that assembles wood without nails or metal fasteners, Shoji draws from Japan’s rich woodworking heritage while giving traditional forms a clean, contemporary presence. Made in his Kyoto workshop, his pieces are designed to bring both beauty and quiet functionality to everyday life.
